Mustajeeb Khan is an amateur theatre activist and professor in the department of English at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad, with 32 years of teaching experience. He wrote three full-length plays and two long plays in the Marathi language, translated plays from English into Marathi and vice versa for performance only, and wrote 42 research articles on drama, theatre and film that were published in various reputed journals of literature. His doctoral research work is titled ‘Badal Sircar, Vijay Tendulkar and Mahesh Dattani: A Theatrical Discourse’. He is also a light designer who won an award from the Government of Maharashtra. He organised state-level drama competitions for five consecutive years.
